The Rickshaw Run

Imagine a 2,700km in 2 weeks pan-Indian adventure in a 7 horsepower glorified lawnmower… That is exactly what three adventurering doctors, Angelica Lynch, Sam Prebble & Charlie Noonan have signed up for in the form of the Rickshaw Run (www.theadventurists.com/rickshaw-run/) as the team Namaste of the Highway.

The team are all junior doctors and have decided that not only this is an incredible personal quest but a way of helping them to re-energise and remember that life outside of medicine impacts their careers as doctors.

When Charlie approached us to help make this a reality, we were very excited to get on board. Our shared belief of doctors taking care of themselves helping them to practise better medicine is extremely close to our hearts and MedRecruit is proud to be supporting this event.

Not only is the Rickshaw Run an industrial dose of adventure, it’s also about saving the World. Every team is to raise a minimum of £1000 ($2000 NZD) for charity, at least £500 ($1000 NZD) of which goes to the official charity Cool Earth (www.coolearth.org/)

Team Namaste of the Highway have also nominated the Cancer Council Australia and The Cancer Society of New Zealand as their team charities to support and have set up pages for donations: AU -www.mycause.com.au/page/122466/namaste-of-the-highway or NZ -https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/rickshawnamaste.

We will be tracking and keeping you updated on their crazy adventures. As the team themselves say about following them across India and supporting their charities of choice; “not only will you receive many laughs and entertainment, but also a bucket of karma towards your next life.”

Namaste.
