Handle the base to live what’s possible

Doctors are high performers.

In life, as high performer we aim for our dreams.

We shoot for what’s possible, we become fanatical about it, always striving to be better.

That approach is rare, and it’s also critical to achieve massive success.

However, for many people, ironically, this total focus on their dream causes them to miss out on it.

Why is that?

Maslow’s Hierarchy

Maslow was a psychologist who studied the most successful people, people like Albert Einstein. Someone like Einstein is known for the incredible work he did advancing human knowledge, essentially for the ‘self-actualization’ of his dreams.

What Maslow found was profound; that the truly remarkable high performers, who were known for self-actualizing their dreams, created a solid foundation that advanced their dreams. They took care of their bodies (physiology), they ensured they lived in a safe environment from a health, wealth and personal perspective (safety), they nurtured friendship and family (love/belonging), and they developed high self-worth (esteem) for themselves.

Without this base, he found success was often fleeting and ended in disaster.

As a doctor, looking after these base needs isn’t a distraction from achieving your dreams, it’s a necessary way to be as successful as you can and to make that success sustainable.

Why do you think so many doctors burn out? They are focusing on the ‘self-actualization’ of their careers, and neglecting the base.

That’s why I set up MedRecruit, MedCapital and MedWorld; we help you to handle the base needs so you can self-actualize your ultimate destiny by being the best doctor you can be.
